Whitney Jones

Whitney Jones, MSW, is the founder of Sober Life Services and is a skilled interventionist and recovery coach with more than 25 years of experience in helping people recover from alcohol/drug addiction and co-occurring disorders. In addition, Whitney is a consultant to BrainFit Buckhead, and collaborates with Dr. Janet Cox by providing services for their clients. Whitney and her team provide a supportive environment, expert guidance, and individualized treatment plans to serve as a successful blueprint for recovery. While the needs and circumstances of each client may differ, Whitney’s goal remains the same: to help her clients achieve sustainable recovery.

With her years of extensive experience in the field of mental and behavioral health, Whitney has dedicated her professional career to helping individuals recover from Substance Use Disorder (SUD) for both alcohol and drug addictions, as well as co-occurring disorders. She has a deep understanding of the challenges her clients face, and her passion, education, and professional experience make her eminently qualified to empower others into long-term recovery. Whitney has been trained in the Crisis, Systemic, Johnson, Arise, Storti, and Love First model of Intervention.

After earning her B.A. in Psychology from Hollins College in Roanoke, VA, and a Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree from The University of Georgia, Whitney successfully completed an internship in Social Work at Grady Memorial Hospital on the neonatal unit, assisting addicted mothers and their families. At The Atlanta Children’s Homeless Shelter, Whitney has worked to provide resources and education for families from addiction and homelessness. Her years of experience also include social work with adolescents and adults in the addiction, psychiatric, and geriatric units of Atlanta Charter Peachford Hospital. She also worked on the eating disorder, Substance Use Disorder (SUD), and psychiatric units of Ridgeview Institute.

Whitney Jones is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), the National Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, and Psi Chi, the honor society for Psychology.
